Under the Nile takes pride in not only serving its community in Egypt, but its local community as well.
Located in Milpitas, California, we strive to be good neighbors and to make a meaningful impact on the
people around us.
In California today, 60,000 children are wards of the state's foster care
system. Many of these children have suffered years of neglect, poverty,
and even abuse by their parents or guardians. Unfortunately, however,
their suffering does not end there. Even after they are placed in state
care, many are faced with continued struggles and challenges.
According to studies, each year, over 30,000 California children enter
foster care.
For this reason, in 2011, we joined forces with Sleep Train to host a
pajama drive for foster kids. With the help of our community, we
collected 100 pairs of pajamas for boys and girls in the California foster
care system. We also participate in many other local drives for children,
and look forward to continuing these activities into the future.
Every year, we present to local high schools about ethical business
practices and environmentalism. We do this with the hope that by
educating young generations, we can pave the way for a brighter future.
